The Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World and The Netherlands Institute in Beirut organized a lecture on May 3, 2012 entitled: “The Role of the Arts in Social Transformation Processes: Lessons from Feminist Theory, Insights from Post-Apartheid South-Africa”. The lecture was given by Professor Dr. Rosemarie Buikema. Dr. Buikema is professor of Art, Culture, and Diversity at Utrecht University.

LAU students, representatives from different NGOs, and academics attended the lecture.
