Workshop: “Engendering Transitional Justice”
The Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) at the Lebanese American University in partnership with the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ), and in collaboration with the Sisterhood is Global Institute in Jordan (SIGI) hosted on 27, 28, and 29 March, 2012 a workshop entitled “Engendering Transitional Justice”, that was funded by the European Union.
The workshop was an opportunity for a group of lawyers, activists, members of local NGOs, ministry of social affairs representative as well as representatives of women committees from different Lebanese political parties to meet with international experts to learn about what is Transitional Justice, its mechanisms, and its relation to gender and the Lebanese civil war.
