On October 29, 2016 IWSAW had the pleasure to organize a book signing event with Christina Lamb, best selling author and one of Britain’s leading foreign correspondents, at Antoine- Beirut Souks.

Ms. Lamb discussed the struggles that remarkable and brave girls and women face during conflict, from Malala’s story in Afghanistan to Nujeen’s inspiring  journey on a wheelchair in war-torn Syria.

Ms. Lamb aims to deconstruct the biased and discriminatory image that women and girls have been subject to during political unrest and violent clashes, to unravel the truth by shedding the light on the true heroines of war
