Miguel Mendelek
Miguel Mendelek is the Lead Gender Projects Coordinator at the Arab Institute for Women (AiW). In this capacity, he actively contributes to the development of research activities and projects related to gender studies; initiates new outreach initiatives to expand the AiW’s reach and impact; collaborates closely with student employees, interns, and volunteers across a wide range of programs; promotes the AiW’s work within the Lebanese American University (LAU) community; occasionally publishes blog posts and academic articles in journals and other outlets; and upholds LAU’s core values of gender equality and inclusion. Miguel completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs in 2018 and his Master of Arts in International Affairs in 2021 at LAU. He is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), in a co-directed program with the University of Turin (UniTo).
