Women and Work in Lebanon

The monograph includes three comprehensive studies on women and employment in post - war Lebanon.

First: The « Employment of Women in Lebanon» by Evelyne Richards, is a survey presenting the percentage of women in the labor force and their current employment distribution. The importance of counseling for school and college women students is also emphasized.
Second: «The Female Industrial Worker in the Suburbs of Beirut» by Irini Lorfing and Julinda Abu Nasr.

Third: «Lebanese Women heads of households», by Irini Lorfing and Julinda Abu Nasr. This pilot study which aims to identify work potentials among recent war widows in South Lebanon, clearly presents the economic, educational and social problems faced by the women of the sample.
