Elections Toolkit

The Arab Institute for Women (AiW) at the Lebanese American University produced and launched an Elections Toolkit within the context of the project “Equality for Everyone: Gender Reform from Grassroots to Government” funded by the U.S.- Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).

The purpose of the Elections Toolkit is to build the capacities of women running for the elections, whether municipal or parliamentarian in Lebanon. The toolkit is divided into six chapters, inclusive of the legal framework of elections in Lebanon and women’s positioning in it, the pre-elections period, campaigning, preparing for the periods before and during the elections day and finally, the electoral appeals.
