“Undermined, Exploited, and Undervalued”: The Realities of Women Humanitarians
In response to World Humanitarian Day 2019, and a post by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs that applauded the work of women humanitarians, the Arab Institute for Women (AiW) and VOICE put together a survey to reach out to women humanitarians to ask about their everyday lives and experiences. This report is the product of this survey, and gives broad insight into the ways that the humanitarian sector treats its own women. We hope that this survey gives other researchers the push they need to continue asking the difficult questions about the sexual harassment and gender discrimination that women face daily while working in the sector.
دور المرأة في الحياة السياسية
انّ مشاركة المرأة في العمل السياسي أصبحت ضرورة ملّحة لمسيرة التقدّم، وأصبح كذلك من الضروري لتحقيق نجاح العملية الانمائية الشاملة دراسة وفهم حيثيات وأبعاد هذه المشاركة وأنماطها والعوامل المؤدية لزيادتها على المستويات المختلفة. هذه الدراسة تحاول الالتزام بالحيادية في الطرح والتشخيص لمكانة المرأة في الدولتين والتزام الموضوعية التامة في ادراج المعلومات والمعطيات الاحصائية. لتأتي في نهايتها على أهم النتائج مع تقديم بعض التوصيات أو المقترحات التي ترى أنها قد تكون حلولا جزئية، وان لم تكن حلولا جذرية اذا تم تبنّيها من السلطات ومن المجتمعات المعنيّة بالدراسة
